There are a number of famous EMI schools: St Stephens, St Clarre, St Louis, St Josephs etc and many of these schools are located in Sai Wan (Western) HK) where we live so would like feedback on these schools and application process.

Having inherited ancient Chinese heritage and experienced a period of Western, colonial influence, Hong Kong is a multifaceted city where English and Cantonese, “Feng Shui” and football, towering skyscrapers and historical sites exist side by side. Immerse yourself in a city that never stops.   A noticeable point here is that at schools where Chinese is the medium of instruction (CMI), Cantonese is regarded as a medium of teaching and learning, but not itself the teaching and learning objective (Education Department ).In general, Cantonese as a functional language in Hong Kong is not taught syntactically and pragmatically at schools in spite of the fact that it is the major Cited by:

An English-medium education system is one that uses English as the primary medium of instruction—particularly where English is not the mother tongue of the students.
