Don’t miss these 10 surprising benefits of going to church and why you should make it a habit. I’ll be the first to admit that while I love being at church once I actually get there, I don’t always love the process of getting my whole family out the door every Sunday morning. Let’s look at only 10 of many reasons to go to church––even when you don’t feel like it. Church is not a place to go, rather it is a living body where God wants you to become a part.

The following list of ideas is specifically directed to financial leaders across the church to help with sustaining the church and its ministry (and perhaps growing it in areas) as we live through these Coronavirus days. In late , as we officially entered a recession, a survey revealed that one out of every five households began giving less money to faith r 22% stopped giving to the church altogether! The sad truth is that this problem has been developing for a long time, as per-member giving as a portion of income has decreased steadily for 38 years.

Question: "Why is church attendance / going to church important?" Answer: The Bible tells us we need to attend church so we can worship God with other believers and be taught His Word for our spiritual growth. The early church “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts ).   So, the question: How do you keep on going in life, in marriage, in parenting, in mission, in jobs, through surgeries? How do you keep on going? And the answer: by grace, sustained by his grace. And so the question now is: How? How do you pay a tribute to grace this morning? How do you pay a tribute to years of grace?

Church Going Summary. The speaker of the poem sneaks into a church after making sure it's empty. He lets the door thud shut behind him and glances around at all the fancy decorations, showing his ignorance of (or indifference to) how sacred all this stuff is supposed to be.

The poem 'Church Going' represents the thoughts of the poet as he enters a church. He is an agnostic but accepts the importance of religion in human culture. In the poem, the speaker questions the utility of churches and hence religion in our life & also seems to make an attempt to understand their attraction.

Church going for him refers to the way that he continues to return to the church even though he can't find anything in it that's believable. This double meaning of "church going" helps to highlight the tension this poem explores between traditional religious meaning and.

As noted in the brief, final chapter, one may not doubt Bob Hostetler [has] prayed for everyone who reads this book (). If you are a Jesus-loving, Bible-based member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), unless God has called you to stand as a prophetic voice of rebuke to the denomination, or unless your ministry commitments to individuals make it impossible for you to leave, now is the time to make your exit.

Finally, many churches choose to go into debt with the reasoning that “the new building, etc., will bring in more people, which will help us pay off the debt.” In point of fact, however, what really happens is that church contributions go toward the interest payments, not to the work of the gospel (Matthew ).
